The Importance of Art

Tax dollars are okay to be spent on art, music and theater classes. Public high schools aren't even really training young people to enter the workforce anyways. We are just trained to go to college, so it's fine if tax dollars are spent on other creative things. Public high schools should focus on teaching the students to be ready for real life, not just college. We should learn how to fix things, how to cook, how to do taxes, and how to be creative. Teaching us how to be creative includes teaching us how to figure something out when the first option didn't work. It also includes teaching us to create our own things, which is where art, music, and theater classes come in. These classes are very important for high school students.

What Art? 1

1. The mood of this art is sad. The expression on their faces, makes me think they are somewhat sad, ad rebellious. Their posture is kind of laid back and chill.

2. I think these pieces were created with oil paints and then edited in photoshop.

3. The colors accentuate the mood, making it feel like they are more rebellious and annoyed.

4. I think the artist intended to convey the people drawn as women about to stand up for their rights. The artist was very successful in setting the mood in this art.
